Wer Rat in the Woodpile

Wer, sitting under the big oak in the castle having a well deserved break thinks...

"I do kind of like the rag tag group of people in this castle, they are good people... I don't like Eolars plan... He wants to take away from my friends what they built..."

She plays with an acorn fallen from this big tree...

"I have to talk with the lady cleric, I have an idea!" *grins*

"Dear Miss Priestess, do you really think that letting those st-Cuthbert monkeys overtake your humble home and community can help your followers and friends?"

Lady Lesyeux looks down at the remarkable lady Halfling.
“Little Druid, you’ve done so much for us already. But I don’t understand. Is not Eolar your friend? I’ll admit he’s a ‘little’ sanctimonious, but I believe his heart is in the right place.” Then she stops for a moment and her voice waivers. “He’s promised to heal our maimed and restore my face. Was he lying to win favour from me?”

"I think he means good, but he tends to overdo things. He likes to think that what he thinks is best for one, is the only way. He does not listen to hearts, he listens to his reason. Yet does not realize that his reason might be wrong some times... He will hold his word I have no doubt about, he does not lie, but he has his own agenda... I don't know how much he told you about his plans, but I will tell you what I know. We will liberate the monastery, and he wants to give you the monastery in exchange for this fortress. He will try to convince you it is the best for you. But I think that even if this place here is in a desolate arid place you got accustomed to it, but I might be wrong. I just want for you to chose with your heart, and I am ready to give you all my support. You lack food: I will help you grow. You lack water: I will help you find and build a well. You lack defense: I will get you some. But at the end I am just making you an offer. I just want to urge you to do what is best for you and your people, not to bow to the desires of my friend Eolar. He is my friend, but he likes things to be his way. I don't. I like things to be the way they want to be. I have wronged in the past, I have been wronged, too. And I like you and your people, I have helped you before, and I will again, if you want me."

Wer looks up to Lady Lesyeux, proudly. Is Wer finding her way slowly? Whatever that way is?

Well, the observant reader might wonder where Wer has the information from :) Eolar had not mentioned the idea to anybody but Lady Lesyeux and the plans about the monastery not even to her. Seems that the druidic powers are greater than I thought you old meta-gamer :D
Since it was only an idea so far he will of course repudiate it until it takes more form.

Oups sorry bout that ... euh ... You should have mumbled about your plans under the Oak? You know trees listen well... (does that work... or just scrap all that ...)

Well, the oak seemed to have mind-reading abilities ;-). I guess the story about the alliance and sharing the fortress made it round the residents of the stronghold and Wer picked it up. The story about the monastery is Wer's guess since she knows Eolar and could guess how he would think and what his plan might be.....
Let's just read it that way :D

Don't blame me. I just added a, hopefully funny, title.
Moritz's post though, does raise some interesting points.
