Just so we're clear, Death is at -11 HPs.
The books say otherwise, but we've made this mistake in the past and it might as well stick.
This means Eolar still has 2 rounds to save Durin.
However, in addition to Eolar probably taking an attack of opportunity from Lord Catidsis, Durin would still only be raised up to within/below his raging HP bonus. Unless given serious additional clerical aid, he'll still die after his rage has finished.
(Same goes for Thesis.)
No where to run to and all the big guns down.
See, I told you I'd kill you all eventually.

Kill us all?
Ahem - I think not. I think you'll find Chen is merely well preserved...
Ah..but you forget the important contribution for all things scientific Chen can make when he answers the age old question, what happens if you smash a petrified character to rubble and then de-petrify them?
That's just not cricket!
Trust Bodush to think of that!
Incidentally, the weight of the petrified character, according to WotC's QA site is 8 times the character's weight plus the regular weight of his equipment. Now, why would Bodush need to know this?
Ooh. Clever...
I'll allow you pick me up as long as you let me land softly on the bad guy!
That would imply that armour and equipment don't turn to stone.
I assumed everything did, although thinking about it, that doesn't really make much sense.
This means Chen's 'secret' stash of healing potions are still available to the remaining three characters. (If they can get up the 20' smooth stone column.)
Also, I don't think Bodush was thinking about giving Chen a soft landing.
ahh..but you are much to heavy to lift if you are still in one piece...
Thus the contribution to science.
Actually, they did consider equipment. The issue was that weapons and armour would actually be lighter if made to stone while other equipment would be made heavier. They just decided to assume that it would even up in the long run.
Those clever boys at Wizards think of everything, don't they?!
